Lagu tersebut menceritakan hubungan sepasang kekasih yang sedang bertengkar.

Kemudian mereka menyadari bahwa tak bisa menemukan pasangan sebaik kekasih mereka.

Sehingga mereka tidak ingin berpisah dari satu sama lain meski banyak orang lain yang lebih baik.

Sebelum merilis lagu tersebut, Taylor sempat memberikan beberapa petunjuk dalam akun Instagramnya, @taylorswift.

Dalam postingannya, Taylor sering menunjukkan foto-foto yang dipenuhi dengan warna pastel.

Ternyata petunjuk itu menggambarkan Music Video (MV) dari lagu 'ME!'.

Dalam MV 'ME!' memang memakai konsep yang dipenuhi dengan warna pastel.

Tak melepas ikon ular seperti di album sebelumnya, 'Reputation', Taylor masih memasukan ular dalam MV-nya yang baru.

Bahkan, di awal MV 'ME!' langsung memperlihatkan seekor ular yang sedang merayap dan terus menyerang.

Namun bedanya, kali ini ular tersebut terlihat lucu berwarna pink.

Ular yang terus menyerang itu juga akhirnya berubah menjadi kumpulan kupu-kupu.
