Nama-nama besar di industri musik seperti Green Day, Eminem, Madonna hingga Aerosmith pun pernah meraih penghargaan ini.
Nah untuk ajang VMA tahun 2016 ini, penghargaan disampaikan dengan kocak oleh Jimmy Fallon.
Pembawa acara talk show malam ini tampil sambil memparodikan perenang Amerika Ryan Lochte.
Aksi ini dianggap lucu oleh para penonton yang ada karena Jimmy meledek-ledek atlet yang alami kontroversi di Rio karena berbohong soal dirampok.
Anyway, akhirnya tiba juga saat yang dinanti-nanti ini.
MTV / Beyonce saat terima Best Video of the Year tahun 2016.
Beyonce raih penghargaan ini melalui video klipnya yang berjudul Formation.
Penghargaan Best Video of the Year ini sendiri adalah Moonman kesekian kalinya bagi istri Jay-Z malam ini.
Selain Best Video of the Year, Beyonce juga menangkan kategori-kategori seperti Best Female Video dan Breakthrough Long Form Video

1. Best Direction (kepada sutradara Formation Melina Matsoukas)
2. Best Choreography (kepada koreografer Formation Chris Grant, JaQuel Knight dan Dana Foglia)

4. Best Cinematography kepada sinematografer Formation Malik Sayeed
